Lockdown

Batuhan Fredrik Malmqvist

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Observe, the time has come, for the doors to close,
for people to put on their clothes.
Offices were as loud as a riot,
now, deceivingly quiet.

Loneliness comes with pain,
but happiness is hard to maintain.
Locked away in the mists of death,
as some take their last breath.

Coming back, you will see,
the people trying to flee.
As the streets reappear,
humanity starts to disappear.

Lockdown is all you ever hear,
as everyone fights for their career.
Now, as the lights turn off,
People are trying to avoid the cough.
